Why you will want to attend
The 2006 VSCDA Race Driver's School
For drivers new to racing or VSCDA, the VSCDA Race Drivers' School is regarded as one of the best drivers' schools in the country put on by a vintage organization. Bob Shedd, VSCDA Chief Driving Instructor, assisted by VSCDA Driver Coach, Duck Waddle, and a host of VSCDA veteran instructors, give this school a very favorable teacher/student ratio. New drivers to VSCDA are required to participate in the Thursday evening classroom as well as the Friday on-track sessions. Friday's schedule consists of 5 track sessions and a 4 lap race. Following each session there is a meeting and question/answer session. Upon successful completion of the schools, participants are given VSCDA driving privileges.

Experienced drivers will find the VSCDA Race Drivers' School a great opportunity to get 5 sessions of seat time under the watchful eye of experienced instructors who can help them work out problems and bad habits that may have developed in their driving. It is an opportunity to experience a day of low pressure track time to help prepare you for the 2006 racing season.

Track Time, Track Time, Track Time!!!!
In addition to the generous track time Saturday and Sunday, GingerMan Raceway will offer Thursday and Friday night practice sessions from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Each session costs $50 per car.

Please note:  These are GingerMan Raceway track sponsored practice sessions. VSCDA has no affiliation or control of the Thursday or Friday night GingerMan evening track sessions or the personnel working corners. There may or may not be ambulances standing by.

Race #1 of the Formula Vee Series
Sunday morning's first race will be Race #1 of the Formula Vee series. This always brings out 25 to 30 of some of the nicest restored Formula Vees in the country. The race is exciting because the cars run so close together.

  Big Bore Enduro
On Saturday we will present the Fourth annual GingerMan Big Bore Enduro featuring some of the “ground pounders” of the sixties. This will be a one hour timed event with a mandatory pit stop. Pit stops will be on a sliding time scale, minimizing the advantage differences between slower and faster cars. If you have a less than 2.0 liter race car and a burning desire to run with the big dogs, don’t despair. Provisions will be made to include less than big bore cars, space permitting, and subject to the scrutiny of the race steward (safety issues).
Where to stay

South Haven Michigan has many beautiful places to stay.
